Watch and Timeshift TV on the Mac

EyeTV 200 features an analog NTSC TV tuner and DVD-quality MPEG-2 video encoder that

let you watch live TV directly on the Mac, in pristine digital quality. MPEG-2 is a premium-qua-

lity video compression standard, which is the basis for DVD and Digital Television. With

EyeTV 200 it is also possible to capture in MPEG-1 format, to save space on your hard drive.

Television can play in its own window, side-by-side with other applications, at full screen or

even in the Dock. With the on-screen remote control, you can manage your television

viewing experience in many more options than normal TV. You can:

• pause the program

• repeat a favorite section

• fast forward

This level of control is possible because EyeTV buffers images as it plays or records live tele-

vision, which gives you the ability to “shift time” within the television show.

EyeTV 200 also includes its own infrared remote control. All of EyeTV’s viewing and recor-

ding functions can be controlled remotely, allowing you to sit back and enjoy television on

the Mac, even from across the room.
